Social Business Trust helping us to grow

Social Business Trust

Twining is delighted to announce Social Business Trust (SBT) as our latest partner. SBT will help us grow and develop our capacity to deliver more of the services people need. With its support we will be continuing our mission, accessing business expertise and resources that will help us step up to the next level.

SBT is a charity supporting high growth potential social enterprises to scale-up their impact. It does this by investing cash grants and professional support from its seven world-class partner businesses - Bain & Company, British Gas, Clifford Chance, Credit Suisse, EY, Permira and Thomson Reuters - in a carefully selected portfolio of social enterprises. Since 2010 it has positively impacted the lives of 750,000 people, providing £9 million worth of cash and in-kind assistance.

SBT’s work with Twining is being led by Christian Mazzi, a partner in Bain & Company, one of the world’s leading management consulting firms. Mazzi heads its healthcare practice in the UK and his personal and expertise and support will help us design our strategic plans for the future.

We have already had support from EY customer service specialists who have made an important contribution by gathering, collating and presenting feedback from commissioners of Twining’s services.

Bob Kitchin, Twining CEO said it is hugely positive to have SBT’s backing:

This partnership comes at a perfect time for us. Twining is at an important stage in our development; we have grown from being a small provider to one that has a presence in much of London. We are committed to maintaining our values and quality, whilst increasing our social impact. It is exciting and reassuring to have the expertise and investment of SBT and its corporate partners.

SBT CEO, Adele Blakebrough said:

Mental health is a pressing social issue and there is still a great deal of stigma and misunderstanding associated with it.  We are proud to be supporting Twining who are tackling the issue of employment for people with mental health challenges with such positive outcomes.

We look forward to sharing more news in the coming months!
