Oli Jacobs steps in to head up Twining as Bob Kitchin bows out

Oli Jacobs CEO 1000

Twining Enterprise Chief Executive Bob Kitchin has announced his plans to move on. Bob will develop ways to help organisations deliver high quality services to people in need.

It’s been a real pleasure working with so many dedicated people who are passionate about making a difference at Twining and our wider stakeholders throughout the sector. It is with some sadness that I leave Twining after 21 rewarding years but it is absolutely the right time for the Charity and me personally to move on.

Bob Kitchin, departing Chief Executive

Bob started as a Support Worker at Twining when it was a very small operation. He has been Chief Executive for over 8 years overseeing an exciting period of growth for the charity.

Bob has achieved a huge amount in building Twining up to its present position as the leading provider of employment services for people with serious mental health issues in London.

Thousands of people across the capital have benefited from his belief in the beneficial effects of work on mental health: their lives and that of their families have been changed for the better by the services Bob led and delivered. We are all hugely grateful for the years of hard work Bob has given Twining Enterprise.

Oli Jacobs will lead the charity forward as Interim Chief Executive: he has been leading Twining’s organisational development for over four years. Liz Meek, our Chair and the Board will be working together with Oli to continue the important work the charity does across London.

Twining changes the lives of thousands of Londoners every year and we have the opportunity to reach many more over the coming years with the active growth and development of our services and support of fantastic partners such as the Social Business Trust.

In the last four years I have worked in a number of roles to increase the quality, scale and capacity of our operations and I am delighted to be asked to steer the organisation through an exciting phase of its evolution. I think we are now recognised as London’s go-to mental health charity for employment support and the contracts we have won will enable us to build on that position going forward.

Oli Jacobs, Interim Chief Executive

The Board are excited to work with Oli in his new role as Interim Chief Executive as we have already seen the many strengths he can bring to this role through his outstanding work as our Head of Operations in recent years. It’s an exciting new era for a charity that continues to go from strength to strength.

Oliver Jacobs became Chief Executive in early 2018.
